Hi there! I'm Prerna ₊˚⊹

I’m a UX Designer with a multidisciplinary background and a love of people, learning, and all things creative. I have an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University; a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (with double minors in Informatics and Psychology); and experience with computer science, marketing, and design.

These diverse lived and educational experiences led me to UX and continually inspire my work. I value clarity and precision–both textually and visually–in order to create inclusive, intuitive, effective, and enjoyable user-centered experiences. I’m currently seeking roles in UI/UX Design, Content Design, and Product Design :)

how i got here :)

a lasting love for design

I started with Logo in elementary school, moved to Tumblr themes and Photoshop fan edits in middle school, and eventually discovered web design in high school.

I love the universality of thought-out design. UX, specifically, is a route that I feel unites all of my passions and allows me to leverage my skills and background to create meaningful, impactful, and rewarding experiences on a larger scale.

other things i love: art, music, and learning!

I love to create and experience digital and real-world art in every form! I love everything from graphic design and photography, to playing video games and instruments, to making beaded accessories and building legos :) I'm also a big fan of live music, watching TV, and movies.

Beyond art, I enjoy Wikipedia rabbit holes and trivia, as well as exploring new places, whether locally or otherwise.
